Regency Romance Teaser

Hi, everyone!
This week I'm back with a teaser from my new WIP
(it doesn't have a name yet, but it's a Regency romance.)
I hope you enjoy it

“Do you remember what I told you might happen if you show your temper again?”

“I didn’t mean to throw it.  I was just in such a state.  Anyone might be.”

“Yes, but not everyone lets their temper get the best of them in such a way.  Not everyone throws letter openers across the room when they are vexed.”

He gave me a few moments to digest this, and then he motioned me forward.
“Go to the desk over there,” he told me, “and open the third drawer on the right.”

Well, I hope you enjoyed it!
Please check out some of my other work, which can be found here.

Also, please be sure and check out everyone else's blogs.
It'll be lots of fun, I promise.

Wedding night excerpt from The Cowboy and the Mail-Order Bride

Hi, everyone!
Welcome to my first
#MFRWhooks.
Today's excerpt comes from my just-completed book,
The Cowboy and the Mail-Order Bride.
This is a wedding night scene between John Henry
and his new bride, Eleanor.
Enjoy!

He started kissing me, long and deep.

I’d never been kissed like that before, with a man’s tongue in my mouth.  It felt pleasant, though, and took my mind off my nervousness.  He reached up and felt my breasts, tweaking and pinching my nipples playfully.

A jolt shot through me, and I started returning the kiss.  If this was marriage, I was going to like it very much.

I reached down and touched his manhood, took hold of it like I had earlier.  The skin was smooth and soft, but the rest of it was stiff and hard as a board.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my excerpt!
The book has just been accepted by Blushing Books and should be out pretty soon.
I'll keep you guys informed.
Meanwhile, how about a little werewolf ménage action?

The Cowboy and the Mail-Order Bride IX

Hi, everyone.
This week is a continuation of last week's snippet,
and Eleanor is punished
for sticking her husband
with a pin in a bid for attention.

“Lie down.  Face down.  Grab the bars of that bed and don’t you dare let go of them.  I’m going to strap you hard, and if you’re real lucky, I won’t use my belt, too.”

I wriggled into position, afraid to argue anymore, and I reached out and grabbed the bars of the brass headboard.

The first lash snapped against my naked skin and I shrieked.  It didn’t hurt that bad, but it surprised me, as the first stroke always does.  He brought the bridle down again and this time it did sting.

I hope you liked the snippet.
I sent this story to the publisher's
two days ago,
so let's see what happens.

The Cowboy and the Mail-Order Bride VIII

Hi, everyone.
I hope you all had a good week.
This week's snippet comes from a part of story
where Eleanor is feeling neglected.
She plans to get herself noticed in typical Eleanor style.

After supper one night, I sat there with my sewing basket, sewing a button on one of John Henry’s shirts.  He sat beside me reading a newspaper, and I took a pin out of the pincushion and stuck him in the arm.
“Ow!  What in Sam Hell are you doing, woman?”
            “Making sure you’re still alive.”
“Still Alive?  You stick me with damn that pin again and you’ll know I’m alive.”
I went to stick him again, but he moved out of the way.
“What has gotten into you?  Do you want me to wallop you?”
“It’s got to be better than being ignored.”

Well, thanks for stopping by.

The Cowboy and the Mail-Order Bride VII

Hi, everyone!
Hope you've all had a nice week.
Today's snippet deals with a spanking Eleanor's
getting because of something dumb she did.
Enjoy!

“Well, Eleanor, here’s the problem.  You broke your marriage vows.  Two of them.  You didn’t honor or obey that day, did you?”

“No, sir.”

“And what do you think I should do about that?”

“I think you should spank me very hard.  And long.”

Well, I hope you enjoyed my snippet.
