“There,” he told me, admiring his handiwork.  “Red like a boiled lobster, and bruised like a roughly-handled piece of fruit.  I daresay you’ll think of nothing but our impending marriage for days to come.  Now get those legs open.”

He thrust my thighs apart and smacked each one as a reminder.  He let me lay there a moment quietly, let me think about everything I’d done to get myself bent over his lap like that, and then suddenly, he reached down between my legs and touched me in a very private place. 

 I gasped and tried to close my legs, but he smacked me again.

 “Never try to hide yourself from me,” he said.  “Now, shall I spank you again and teach you what the price of disobedience is, or will you behave?”

It's great to be back doing #SatSpanks.

This week we have an excerpt where Lady Sabrina

is being punished for an unnamed crime.

“What I don’t understand is, what possessed you?”

“I don’t know.  I was just too angry to think.”


"Let’s see if we can’t get your brain working again.”


He gave me another five or six hard spanks.  I thought eventually his hand would get sore and he’d stop, but no.  He lectured me a bit more and dug down deep, managing another twenty or so swats.


“Stand up.  I want the strap.”

“We mustn’t go too far," I told him.  "Ransome wouldn’t like it.”

“Do you only do what Ransome likes?”

"I try to or he cuts up stiff, but no, not always.  Sometimes he’s quite cross with me.”

“Such a naughty little puss as you are, I shouldn’t be at all surprised.”

"Naughty?” I asked in a voice of surprised innocence.  “I?”

“If I were your husband, I should be just as strict as Ransome.”

When I got to the sofa, my heart sank.  He already had the paddle, and a nasty little thing on a handle, shorter than a riding crop and with several strands of leather projecting from the top.

“What is that?” I asked in a frightened voice.

“A martinet.”

“And you’re going to use it on me?”

“Indeed, I am.  Now pull up your skirts and get over my lap.”

Regency Romance Teaser

“Do you remember what I told you might happen if you show your temper again?”

“I didn’t mean to throw it.  I was just in such a state.  Anyone might be.”

“Yes, but not everyone lets their temper get the best of them in such a way.  Not everyone throws letter openers across the room when they are vexed.”

He gave me a few moments to digest this, and then he motioned me forward.

“Go to the desk over there,” he told me, “and open the third drawer on the right.”
