Hi, Everyone!
This week I have an excerpt of my story, "The Not-So-French Maid,"
from the book I am currently working on called Brattitudes.
Please enjoy!

The Not-So-French Maid
I took the
feather duster and went into the living room.
I bent myself over the arm of James’s chair, just to see what it was
like, pretending I was even now over his lap, James swatting my
upturned butt contentedly. I pretended to thrash
around and sob, but the hard chair arm was nothing like his warm, soft lap, so I
gave up.
A sudden
inspiration struck me and I went back into the bedroom to get the container of
baby powder I kept in there. I brought
it back out with me to the living room and I poured some into my hand, blowing
it onto the coffee table to simulate household dust. I did that with all the other furniture, too,
and then I returned the powder to its rightful place.
and the other three stories in the book.

The feather duster, hm? I'm guessing it's not the feather end she's using? :)
ReplyDeleteNot this time, but maybe a future story? Thanks for stopping by, Ana.
DeleteLOL! I admit, I've tried the pretend OTK positions too! :) Very fun excerpt!
ReplyDeleteoh yes, pretend is great fun :) Just the other day, I rolled off the bed like I was in trouble and jumped into submissive pose just to prove to myself that jumped was the right verb and my editor didn't understand
DeletePretend is fun. The whole story's about pretending. I'm glad you guys like the snippet!
DeleteHmm. Manufactured dust, eh? She wouldn't have to do that at my house. It supplies it's own dust without any help from me. Although, this makes me think she is hoping James will take her to task for not "dusting" properly. Cute snippet. Can't wait to read more.
ReplyDeleteAlas, I wouldn't need to make any fake dust at my place, either. I live out by the delta, so there's always dust.
DeleteBe careful what you wish for I say lol. No shortage of dust at my house either. LOVED your fun snippet Angela :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Constance.
DeleteSomeone is definitely in the mood! Hope she gets what she's looking for. Echoing the others by saying great fun.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks to you as well, Tara.
Delete*giggling* Well, that is one way to bring on a spanking...or twelve.
ReplyDelete(And some oral sex.) Hehe!
DeleteA practice session with the couch and then the provocation set up for this wantonness... a fun ride here today...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joseph. I'm glad I'm getting so many positive reactions!
DeleteIntriguing...what is she hoping the faux dust will lead to? :-)
ReplyDeleteShe's an enterprising young lady, huh?
Deletehm love the baby powder, but the hard arm of the chair not being as good as James? lovely!
ReplyDeleteNo. It sucks having to fake it. The spanking, or course, not the dust.
DeleteAnd now I'm going to start reading all your blogs! See ya there.
ReplyDeleteI hope she knows what she's asking for. It sure seems like she's ready for it!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, Patricia. I can't wait to get this book sent off to the publishers so everyone can read the whole thing if they want.
DeleteLOL, sounds like something I'd do. Nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary. I like to dream up funny and strange (but realistic) things for my characters to do.
DeleteOh, dress up is so much fun. Pretending is always a great game.
ReplyDeleteI love dress up, too. Sometimes a schoolgirl, sometimes steampunk (pretend he's Sherlock Holmes) and right now I'm making a 50's style dress and a crinoline.
