Those Little Tricks of Life (Excerpt)

Here's a little excerpt for you from my latest book:

“You had every chance in the world to go and act like a model citizen, Imogene, and you blew every last one of them chances.”

 “I know, sir.  I’m sorry.  I didn’t mean to.”

“Quit your begging and get ready.  I’m gonna turn that ass a shade of royal red you ain’t hardly seen before.  Them people down at the crayon place, they’re gonna have to think up a whole new crayon color for this.”

Now, we all grew up in an era when ass-whippings were a common occurrence, and the fact is, once you get grown and responsible for your own self, you kind of miss that, miss having someone take you in hand every now and then and set you back on the path of righteousness.  And it took me years to realize I actually wanted a man to give me what-for, years of fantasies and frustration, but once I knew what I was, I couldn’t get enough of it.

I felt the first stinging lash of the belt and I knew old Eddie wasn’t about to go easy on me.
