Hi, everyone!
Did everybody have a nice Halloween?
I sure did.
We had about 57 trick-or-treaters.
Anyway, today's snippet is from Marigold and the Manager.
I don't think I've used it before, but if I have, I apologize.
When you're done reading it, be sure to stop by and visit
all the other blogs.
The list is below.
Enjoy.
“You never said not to swear.”
“That’s why I’m not going to spank you very hard.”
All this spanking talk turns me on, and I drape my arm over his chest and rest my head on his shoulder. He goes along with this for a couple of minutes, and then he sits up and pats the bed beside him. I crawl over to his side of the bed and sit down next to him.
“You’re a very naughty girl, Marigold, using such language.”
“I couldn’t help it. You’re just so damned sexy.
“Another bad word?”
“Oh. Sorry.”
Blurb:
When college student Marigold Cavendish meets Major League manager Bob Heath at her best friend Miranda’s engagement party, the two hit it off immediately. But with a twenty-five-year age difference between them, trouble brews. Between Marigold’s parents and Bob’s grown daughter, their relationship has very large hurdles to clear.
The more time the couple spends together, the more confident they are that their love is right, and they’re able to ignore the negative influences surrounding them. Things go smoothly for a while, and then Bob asks Marigold to marry him. What should be a happy and exciting time slowly turns into something far from that.
Bob and Marigold discover their relationship can survive the long distance necessary when Bob must travel with his team, but can it survive the negative influence of family or their own insecurities? Are they strong enough individually to become stronger still as a couple and ride out the storm? Or is their relationship doomed?

I don't think she is taking all this seriously, but there is a good chance she will soon.
ReplyDeleteHe might be playing now, but her spankings get increasingly severe as time goes by.
DeleteHey, sexy isn't a bad word. Oh, he picked up on the damned, didn't he? Somehow I overlooked that for the sexy. Oh well, different strokes... Though it isn't really fair for him to punish her for something he'd never mentioned before. She doesn't seem to really mind though, so I guess it's okay. No doubt his rewards make everything worth it.
ReplyDeleteShe's new at this, so she's just going with the flow. She does seem to enjoy it, doesn't she?
DeleteThere's asking for it and there's sending someone an engraved invitation. LOL.
ReplyDeleteMarigold obviously knows what she wants.
At least she thinks she does. Thanks for coming by.
DeleteShe's enjoying the game now. I hope she continues to see it that way! Great snippet Angela :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Constance!
DeleteI can sense many more spankings coming her way in the future LOL :)
ReplyDeleteShe's treating it like a joke, isn't she?
