This week I have an excerpt of my story, "Time Travel,"
from the book I am currently working on called Brattitudes.

Time Travel
“Do you have
anything to say for yourself?”
“I’m sorry,
Daddy. I promise not to do it any more.”
He never says a
word in response, and he doesn’t move from where he’s standing. My heart pounds violently and I will him to
do something—anything—to break the tension.
Instead, he just
waits there until I sigh.
“I’m sorry,” he
says. “Am I boring you?”
