Hi, everyone.
Today I have the cover art
for
Sweet Little Gypsy.
I also have a snippet,
which follows on soon after
the previous snippet,
which you can find here.
We ride for many minutes before the manor house comes
into view. It is at that moment that he
relaxes his grip on me. I feel my heart
start to pound again, and I make bold my escape. I don’t get very far before he’s on me again,
this time dragging me over to the nearest tree to pluck a thin branch from
it. He strips the leaves and pulls me
over to the horse.
“Bend
over,” he tells me. “Bend over and grab
that stirrup, and don’t you even think of letting go.”
Blurb:
When handsome Lord Davenport finds a young gypsy woman
camping out on his property, he captures her and takes her home, with the
intention of making her his little. She
is bathed, dressed like a proper young girl, and put into the nursery. He discovers she is woefully ignorant and
totally innocent, and vows to teach her, both in the schoolroom and the
bedroom. He also introduces her to the
concept of strict discipline, and she frequently finds herself over his
lap. Can he tame the wild Gypsy, or will
she slip right through his fingers and make good her escape?
You'll have to wait a while to find out, since the book is still in editing. In the meantime, check out my latest, "Allison and the Outfielder". You can find it here and here.
She is definitely in a precarious position. Hanging on to a stirrup while being switch has to be one of most difficult positions I've ever heard of.
ReplyDeleteIn his mind, he doesn't want to make it easy on her because he's afraid she'll escape for real.
ReplyDeleteI don't envy her position, and I mean that literally.
