How to Gain the Courage to Submit II

Hi, everyone.

Some of you said my last post was kind of a tease, because they thought it was about the other kind of submission.
Well, I can write a post about that, too, but here’s the twist.

I had to put myself on the line and ask for what I wanted.

Now, you might think, ‘Big deal,’ but it is a big deal, because I’m basically pretty shy and we never talked about sex when I was growing up, so it’s not something I'm all that comfortable discussing.  I suffered through years of frustration, wishing the guy would just read my mind already and do what I wanted done, but you know what?
Most guys aren’t psychic.  You actually have to ask.

And it's hard.  Sure it is.  There's a chance he'll think you’re a total freak, but there's also a chance it’ll work out just fine.
So stop being a wuss and go for it.
If you don't ask, the answer is always no.

Food Love

Well, readers, they're finally done with the construction on my place.  Yay!  If you've ever been through even a slight remodel, you know what a pain it is.  It's been hard to write, but I think I can settle in now and get something done.

Right now I'm working on a story about vampires and virgins.  It should be fun.

Also, I've started this big project where I plan out what to cook for ninety (yes, that's 90) days straight without a repeat.  So far I have 65 of them, and now I'm really scraping the barrel to find the last 25.   I'm talking complete meals, too, with starch (rice, pasta, bread) and vegetable.  It's hard to choose which ones to use, because I have to consider cooking times, what goes with what, do I have enough burners, etc.

I'll keep you guys posted on my progress.  I just wanted to let you know that, yes, I do think of other things besides sex.  Although that's paramount, of course.

Until next time, I wish you sweet kisses.
Angie.

Star-Crossed

I was just sitting in the stands when the baseball broke my nose.

The pitcher—the one who threw it—came to the hospital with me. He sent flowers the next day and visited me a week after that.

 The upshot?

We’re in love.

We married when we realized how much we had in common.

He’s jinxed and I’m the queen of freak accidents.

I even got bit by an emu once.

Cover for the Leo DeGraunce Flash Fiction Anthology

Check out the cover of the Leo DeGraunce anthology, due out fall/winter 2012.

Haven't read any of my flash fiction?  Shame on you.  But since you're so sweet, I'll give you another chance.  Here goes, just for you.

Persistence

“Come on, Adam.  You know you want to.”
He glanced around quickly, like I’d just asked him to murder someone.
“Are you crazy?” he asked, his whisper frantic.  “We’ll get in trouble.”
“No one’s watching.  Besides, I’m bored.  There’s never anything to do around here.”
He glanced over his shoulder again and I knew I was close to breaking him.
“Please, Adam?  I want the first time to be with you, not that snake in the grass, Sam.”
I saw a flash of jealousy in his eyes when I said that.
“We can’t.  We’ll totally get busted.”
“Fine.  Whatever.  But don’t say I didn’t ask.”
I stood there pouting and let him twist in the wind.
“Don’t be all mad,” he said.
I cocked my eyebrow.  And my hip.
“You know that thing you’re always wanting me to do?  I’ll do that if you do it.”
With a desperate roll of his eyes, he glanced around one last time and sighed.

“All right.  Give me that damned thing.  What’d he call this again?  An apple?”

Did you enjoy that?
If so, you'll be pleased to know several more of my stories are included in the anthology, many of which have never before been published.
I'll keep you updated as the release date grows nearer.
Best love,
Angie
